The MJ Health Research Foundation oversees the "MJ Health Resource Center," which includes biochemical data, health questionnaires, and Taiwan's first privately established human biobank approved by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The MJ Biobank began collecting blood samples in 2002, paused collections in 2008, and resumed in 2015. As of 2023, it has collected samples from over 160,000 participants, totaling over one million blood samples, including both single and multiple donations. The types of samples collected include serum, plasma, and buffy coat, all stored in ultra-low temperature freezers at -80°C.
